MUHLENBERG, KEYSTONE BASEBALL OUTSLUGS KING'S, 13-9, 12-9
ORLANDO, FLA -- The King's College baseball team score nine runs in each game but it wasn't enough as the Monarchs fell 13-9 to Muhlenberg, then 12-9 to Keystone Tuesday in Orlando, Fla.
Moravian held a 3-0 lead heading into the fifth, but the Mules exploded for six runs to take a 9-0 lead. The Monarchs attempted to rally with a six-run eighth inning to cut the score to 13-9. King's
Matt Colgan would single to start the ninth, but the Mules worked out of the jam to hold on to the win.
Jon Venarchick led King's with a 4-for-6 effort with a three-run home run and two runs scored.
Ryan Knowles was 2-for-3 with three RBI while
Pat McGlynn went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Matt Colgan was 2-for-2 with a double while
Gracjan Kraszewski went 2-for-5 with one run scored.
Matt Livoy contributed with a double while
J.R. Graver,
Matt Feci, and
Matt Unger each added a base hit.
Joe Jenkins took the loss for King's, allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits in 5.2 innings of work. Jenkins struck out two batters while walking a pair.
Against Keystone, Graver was 3-for-6 with three runs scored. Livoy went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. McGlynn drove in two runs while Colgan was 2-for-3 with a double and one run scored. Kraszewski,

J.T. Levonick was the losing pitcher, allowing nine runs, five earned, on seven hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
