KING'S TENNIS DOWNS ARCADIA TO CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team built a 3-0 lead after doubles then clinched the match by winning five-of-six singles contests as the Monarchs clinched a Freedom Conference playoff berth with a 8-1 victory over Arcadia University Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
With the win, King's improved to 10-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Arcadia, meanwhile, fell to 1-8 and 1-4.
Jon Hand,
Blake Bonser,
David Kaluzavich, and
David Boe were all winners in both doubles and singles for the Monarchs.
Joe Guza added a win in singles while
Povl Schmidt teamed with Boe and
Nick Hojsack joined forces with Hand to register doubles victories for the Monarchs.
King's is slated to travel to face Neumann College Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Aston
