KING'S TENNIS EDGES MISERICORDIA, 5-4
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team prepped for the weekend's Freedom Conference Tournament by using a mixture of regular players and reserves to post a 5-4 victory over Misericordia University Tuesday at Kirby Park.
With the win, King's improved to 12-9 on the year.
King's won two of the three doubles matches, then won three of the six singles bouts to secure the victory.
David Kaluzavich and David Boe were winners in both singles and doubles for the Monarchs. Jon Ferrie added a singles victory for King's.
Justin Muthler, Matt Hornack, and Brett Ford were singles wins for the Cougars. Hornack was also a winner in doubles for Misericordia.
King's will face FDU-Florham in the semi-finals of the Freedom Conference Tournament Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at Kirby Park.
