KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYS TO 1-1 TIE AT BRYN MAWR

Brianne Schmidt score with 0:01 left in regulation as the King's College women's soccer team forged a 1-1 double-overtime tie with host Bryn Mawr College Wednesday in Bryn Mawr.
With the draw, King's stands at 1-6-1 on the year while Bryn Mawr is 4-3-1.
Bryn Mawr took a 1-0 lead 14:20 into the match on an unassisted goal by Akuea Nyame-Mensah. The score remained the same until the closing second when the Lady Monarchs made a corner kick count when Schmidt converted a pass off the foot of Kelly Puffenberger just before the final horn sounded. The teams played 20 minutes of overtime and King's outshot Bryn Mawr 6-3 in the extra sessions but neither team was able to push the ball across the goal line
For the game, King's owned a 21-11 advantage in shots and a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.

Rachael Donatiello made six saves for the Lady Monarchs, who travel to face Delaware Valley College Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Doylestown.
