KING'S VOLLEYBALL GOES 1-1 AT FIRST DAY OF MUHLENBERG TOURNEY
ALLENTOWN -- The King's women's volleyball team split its first two matches at the Muhlenberg College Invitational Tournament on Friday in Allentown.
King's fell to host Muhlenberg 3-0 by scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-13. The Lady Monarchs then defeated Medaille 3-1 by scores of 25-12, 24-26, 25-13, 25-11.
Against Muhlenberg, Dani Belfanti had 25 digs and seven service points.
Kaitlyn Malshefski followed with 11 kills and eight digs while
Kat Clerici and
Katie Doss tallied five kills each.
Samantha Garrigues chipped in with 22 assists and four service points.
Versus Medaille, Belfanti added 23 digs with 11 service points. Clerici posted 18 kills with four solo blocks while Malshefski added 10 kills. Doss contributed seven kills and seven digs while Garrigues and
Kelly Greenway dished out 22 and 20 assists respectively.
King's resumes play Saturday at 10:00 a.m
