MEN'S BASKETBALL TO PLAY RAMAPO IN WILKES-BARRE CHALLENGE
WILKES-BARRE--- Wilkes University is set to host the annual Wilkes-Barre Challenge, including King's College, Ramapo College and Elizabethtown College in a round robin style tournament. The Monarchs will tip off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday against Ramapo while Wilkes plays Elizabethtown at 8:00 p.m.
On Sunday, King's will play at 1:00 p.m. versus Elizabethtown while Wilkes faces Ramapo at 3:00 p.m. All four games will be held at the Marts Center on the campus of Wilkes University.

King's, currently 4-5, looks to stop a five-game skid after winning their first four games. The Ramapo Roadrunners are coming off of a tournament championship win over Ohio Northern in the Surf and Slam tournament in San Diego, and now hold a 7-4 record.
The young Monarch squad is led by sophomore forward Kevin Conroy, who averages 15.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per-game. Conroy is shooting 47.3 (44-93) percent from the floor, and stroking 76.8 (53-69) percent of his free throws. Junior forward/guard Jim Schule puts up 10.6 points per contest, and leads King's in steals with 13 and blocks with seven. Freshman forward Chase McGowan rounds out the double-digit scorers with 10.4 points per-game, while also snagging 5.3 rebounds, with 37-of-48 coming on defense. McGowan also has eight steals on the year and leads the Monarchs in free throw shooting, hitting 76.9 (30-39) percent. Junior guard Mike Wagner has emerged as the top three-point threat, knocking down 37.5 (18-48) percent from beyond, and 42.9 (27-63) percent from the floor, while putting up 9.3 points a game and 3.2 rebounds.
As a team, King's averages 69.6 points a contest, and allows 68.2, while averaging 36.4 rebounds and shooting at a 42.5 (220-518) percent pace from the floor and 72.0 (134-186) percent from the charity stripe.
Ramapo boasts four double-digit averages, with senior guard/forward Tim Wesley leading the way, averaging 18.5 points per-game, while pulling down 8.5 rebounds. Wesley is also hitting 51.3 (81-158) percent of his shots from the field and has dished out 43 assists. Sophomore guard Ahmad Hassan averages 14.9 points and 3.1 rebounds, and leads the Roadrunners in steals with 24. Andre Kenny, a junior guard, stands third in scoring, averaging 12.0 points a game while shooting at a 46.2 (48-104) percent clip. Senior forward Kevin Findlay leads Ramapo in shooting, hitting 61.6 (45-73) percent of his shots, averaging 10.4 points a contest, and leads in blocks with seven.
The Roadrunners average 78.6 points per-game, while allowing 73.2 and grabbing 41.0 boards. As a team, Ramapo is shooting 45.9 (325-708) percent from the field, and are 157-232 (67.7 percent) from the free throw line.
The Blue Jays are led by sophomore guard Joe Flanagan, who averages 15.4 points per-game, shooting 51.4 (54-105) percent from the field. Junior center Mike Church is second in scoring, putting up 14.5 points a game and averages 7.1 rebounds. Keith Fogel, a sophomore guard, rounds out the double digit scorers with 13.1 points a game and is shooting 87.5 (21-24) percent from the line. The Blue Jays post 70.1 points a game, shooting 42.3 (254-600) percent, but allow 71.7 and rebound 32.8 a game.
