WRESTLING GOES 2-0 AT PA/NY DUALS
ROCHESTER, NY--- On the campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), the King's wrestlers posted a 2-0 day in the 2009 Pennsylvania/ New York Duals.
The format pits two schools from New York against two schools from Pennsylvania in dual meet competition. The Monarchs, as well as Lycoming College, helped PA go 4-0 on the day, not allowing a New York school to post a win.
King's defeated host R.I.T. 27-19 in its opener before besting Oneonta State 34-12. With their two victories in Saturday's matches, King's improves to 4-4 on the year.
Several Monarchs picked up two wins in New York.
Anthony Dietrick at 133,
Frankie Davis at 149,
Taylor Green at 165, and
Mike Reilly at 174 and Christopher Rash at 285 pounds all picked up two decisions.
Zach Wilkinson picked up two pins over his opponents at 184 pounds.
King's will be back in action this Wednesday when they travel to Kutztown University. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
