King's Men's Soccer Loses 7-4 Shootout to LVC

LEBANON VALLEY OUTGUNS KING'S MEN'S SOCCER 7-4
 
ANNVILLE -- Eric Woods scored two goals and Travis Steedle added one goals and two assists as the host Lebanon Valley College outdueled visiting King's College Tuesday on a rainy afternoon in Annville.

With the win, King's slipped to 11-5-1 on the year while Lebanon Valley improved to 9-6-2.

Alex Martino, Greg DeMaio, Rob McGuiness, and Sean McEnroy all scored goals for the Monarchs while Joey Bender added the lone assist for the Monarchs.

Lebanon Valley outshot King's 25-10 and held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks. King's goalie Andrew O'Shura made five saves in 63 minutes of action while Rich Melber tallied three stops in 27 minutes of play.

The Monarchs close out the regular season Saturday night with an important 7:00 p.m. Freedom Conference matchup against Misericordia University in a game that will directly affect which teams qualify for the league playoffs.
 
King's is currently locked in a third-place tie with Wilkes in the four-team race, but hold only a half-game lead over DeSales and a one-game lead on Eastern entering the final weekend of conference play.
