KING'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM CLOSES OUT SEASON WITH 3-0 WIN OVER KEYSTONE, BELFANTI RACHES 2,000 DIG PLATEAU
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's volleyball team closed out its 2009 season by sending four senior players out on a winning note as the Lady Monarchs posted a 3-0 victory over visiting Keystone College Friday evening in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's, which won by scores of 25-10, 25-7, 25-8, finished the year with a 19-11 record while Keystone slipped to 3-18.
During the match, King's senior libero Danielle Belfanti became the first King's player in Lady Monarch history to reach the 2,000-dig plateau, posting eight digs on the night. Senior defensive specialist Shannon Ellis had seven digs and 11 service points with two aces, while senior middle hitter Kat Clerici registered 16 kills with three blocks
