King's Women's Swimmers Split Tri-Meet, Men Fall to Cabrini

KING'S WOMEN'S SWIMMERS SPLIT TRI-MEET, MEN FALL TO CABRINI

WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's swim team split a tri-meet with Cabrini College and the College of Notre Dame (Md.). Meanwhile, the Monarch men dropped a dual meet to Cabrini.
 
King's women defeated Notre Dame 53-41 while falling to Cabrini 57-38. King's men lost to Cabrini 67-34.

For the women, Maggie Nealer won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 12:20.31 while also taking the 500 freestyle at 5:49.11. Becca Smith captured the 200 freestyle at 2:13.28. Carissa Cook was victorious in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.95, King's 400 medley relay team of Smith, Amanda Casey, Susie Hughes, and Krystina Homanko was second, swimming a 4:59.03.
 
On the men's side, Eric Stencovage won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.18 while finishing second in the 50 freestyle at 24.78. Matt Lysy captured the 100 butterfly at 1:19.41 while Caleb Farrell was fourth in the 100 freestyle at 1:01.06.
