Fiorino Breaks Career Three-Point Mark as Lady Monarchs Fall to Alvernia

FIORINO SETS THREE-POINT RECORD BU LADY MONARCHS FALL TO ALVERNIA
 
READING -- Senior guard Kaitlyn Fiorino set a new program record for career three-point field goals, but it was not enough as the King's College women's basketball team dropped a 77-64 victory over host Alvernia College Saturday in Reading.

With the loss, King's slipped to 8-13 overall and 6-6 in Freedom Conference play while Alvernia improved to 13-7 and 9-4.

Fiorino entered the game tied with 2008 Lady Monarch graduate Jenna Palumbo with 242 three-pointers, the most in King's women's basketball history.  Fiorino finished the game with 10 points, canning three treys to set a new career mark with 245 long-range field goals.

Kaitlyn Malshefski led the Lady Monarchs with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting while hauling in six rebounds.Brittany Muscatell also added 10 points with eigth assists and five rebounds while Jessica Paettie wsa the third KIng's player to score 10 points in the game.
 
Alexandra Velazquez led all scorers with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Kelli McIntyre contributed 17 points.

King's returns to action Wednesday with a 6:00 p.m. home matchup with DeSales University.
