King's Tennis Wins 4th Straight With Triumph Over Marywood

KING'S TENNIS DOWNS MARYWOOD, 7-2
 
SCRANTON -- The King's College men's tennis team won its fourth straight match as the Monarchs posted a 7-2 victory over host Marywood University Tuesday in Scranton.

With the win, King's improved to 5-4 on the year while Marywood fell to 4-7.

King's took a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition as the teams of Blake Bonser/David Kaluzavich and Tim Carroll/Jonathan Ferrie were victorious by identical 9-7 scores in the second and third flights. 

The Monarchs then locked up the match by winning five of the six singles contests. Jonathan Hand and Joe Guza joined Bonser, Kaluzavich, and Carroll in winning individual matches.

King's returns to action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. home matchup against DeSales University at Kirby Park.
