KING'S BASEBALL FALLS TO MISERICORDIA
 
DALLAS -- The host Misericordia University baseball team pounded out 22 base hits en route to a 19-6 victory over King's College Monday in Dallas.
 
With the win, Misericordia improved to 16-13 overall and 5-5 in Freedom Conference play. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 17-11 and 6-6 in league contests.  Misericordia won the game on the strength of five runs in each of the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings.

King's, which posted 13 hits in the game, was led by Jon Venarchick who went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double while scoring two runs. Gracjan Kraszewski and Matt Feci were both 2-for-4 with a double and scored one run.  Rob Fravel and Eric Matula were each 2-for-5 on the day. Matt Unger, Jim Troianiello, and Ryan Tychinski chipped in with one hit each.  Dan Jenkins (5-1) suffered his first pitching loss of the season, allowing 11 runs, nine earned, on 10 hits in four innings of work.

King's returns to action Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. non-conference away matchup against the University of Scranton at Connell Park.
