Monarch Tennis Wins 7th Straight with 5-4 Victory Over Elizabethtown

MONARCH TENNIS WINS SEVENTH STRAIGHT WITH 5-4 TRIUMPH OVER E-TOWN
 
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team won its seventh straight match as the Monarchs posted a 5-4 victory over visiting Elizabethtown College Sunday at Kirby Park.

With the win, King's improved to 8-4 on the year while the Blue Jays slipped to 4-2.

King's took a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition as the teams of Blake Bonser and David Kaluzavich, along with Tim Carroll and Jon Ferrie, were winners in the second and third flights respectively.

The Monarchs would eek out the victory by winning three of the six singles bout, with Carroll (pictured) clinching the match with a 6-3, 6-7 (57), 6-1 victory.  Bonser and Kaluzavich were also singles victors for the Monarchs.

King's is slated to return to the court Monday with a 4:00 p.m. matchup with Neumann College at Kirby Park.
