KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNS ST. ELIZABETH AS MALSHEFSKI REGISTERS 1,000TH KILL
 
MADISON, NJ -- Senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Malshefski registered the 1,000th kill of her career as the King's College women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory over host College of St. Elizabeth, Friday in Madison, NJ.

King's, which won by scores of 25-9, 25-7, 25-15, improved to 5-2 on the year.

Malshefski, who finished the match with six kills, 10 service points, and two aces, achieved the milestone in the second game of the match. She entered the day with 998 kills and became just the sixth player in King's history to reach the mark.

Also aiding the Lady Monarch cause was Kat Clerici, who returned from an injury to tally six kills on the night. Colleen Grosenick added 18 service points and four aces while Danielle Belfanti followed with 10 assists, six service points, and two aces. Emily Kline contributed five kills while Lauren Foster totaled 10 digs. Kelly Greenway chipped in with 13 assists.

King's will now compete in the Old Westbury Invitational Saturday and Sunday on Old Westbury, NY.
