MEN'S SOCER BLANKS KEYSTONE, 5-0
 
LAPLUME – Joey Bender scored two goals and added an assist to power the King's College men's soccer team to a 5-0 victory over host Keystone College Tuesday in LaPlume.
 
With the win, King's improved to 7-2 while Keystone slipped to 3-6.

King's took a 1-0 lead at 21:03 when Greg DeMaio scored off a Bender assist. The Monarchs pushed the advantage to 2-0 when Rob McGuiness struck net following a pass from George Genco with just 1:05 left in the first half.

King's built a 3-0 lead at 50:22 when Bender scored off an assist from DeMaio. The score quickly grew to 4-0 when Bender scored unassisted just 2:05 later. The Monarchs tacked on the final goal at 63:36 when Billy Elliott made good on a feed from Genco.

King's outshot Keystone 18-8 and held a 8-4 advantage in corner kicks. Monarch goalie Andrew O'Shura posted five saves on the day.
