KING'S WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL POSTS 3-1 WIN OVER MANHATTANVILLE
PURCHASE, NY -- The King's College women's volleyball team posted its first Freedom Conference victory of the season as the Lady Monarchs posted a 3-1 victory over host Manhattanville College Thursday in Purchase, NY.
King's, which won by scores of 25-15, 12-25, 25,21, 25-21 improved to 5-11 overall and 1-4 in Freedom Conference matches while Manhattanville fell to 6-12 and 0-5 in league competition.
The Lady Monarchs were led by Emily Kline with 13 kills, two aces, and four digs. Lauren Rockhold followed with 12 kills and two assists. Heather Bowman added six kills and 17 digs while Kelly Greenway distributed 28 assists and four digs. Jillian Foster tallied 27 digs with two aces while Amanda Horton chipped in with three kills and six digs.
Domaris Morales led Manhattanville with 15 kills while Jocelyn Branca tallied 12 kills and 21 digs.
King's will be idle until Tuesday when the Lady Monarchs host FDU-Florham in a Freedom Conference matchup at 7:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
