KING'S SOCCER TEAMS TRAVEL TO MANHATTANVILLE COLLEGE FOR FREEDOM CONFERENCE DOUBLEHEADER
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College men's and women's soccer teams return to the field Saturday when they travel to Purchase, N.Y. for a Freedom Conference doubleheader at Manhattanville College. The women's match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., with the men's to follow at 3:00 p.m.

The King's women's team enters the contest with a 1-13 overall record, 0-3 in Freedom play following a 4-1 loss at Misericordia University on Wednesday. Becky Chateauneuf tops the squad with 15 points on five goals and five assists.Jade Zuniga follows with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Lady Monarch goalie Melissa D'Aniello has a 4.36 goals against average with 41 saves in seven matches in net.
The Manhattanville women's team stands 1-11-1 on the year, 1-1-1 in conference matches after falling 3-1 at Eastern University on Wednesday. Holly Nonis leads the Valiants attack with 13 points on six goals and an assist. Goalie Ali Bromson has a 2.19 goals against average with 79 saves and one shutout.
The King's men's team posts a 9-5 overall mark and stand 2-1 in conference play following a 2-1 defeat at Misericordia on Tuesday. Joey Bender leads the Monarch attack with 18 points on six goals and six assists. Tim Meyer and Alex Martino follow with 11 points each. King's keeper Andrew O'Shura boasts a 0.98 goals against average with 25 saves and two shutouts, while Brandon Raynor posts a 0.18 GAA with a team-high four shutouts in seven matches.
The Manhattanville men's squad stands 6-4-1 on the season, 1-1-1 in conference play after suffering a 2-1 loss at Eastern University on Tuesday afternoon. Keston George tops the Valiants attack with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Goalie Jason Torres has a 1.05 goals against average with 25 saves and five shutouts.
Both teams will return home next week to face cross-town rival Wilkes University at McCarthy Stadium. The women's game is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., while the men square off Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
