KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER BATTLES TO 0-0 2OT TIE AGAINST CROSS-TOWN RIVAL WILKES

WILKES-BARRE -- Katie Mangan made 10 saves in her first career match in net for King's and the Lady Monarch defense held strong playing to a 0-0 double overtime tie against cross-town rival Wilkes University on Tuesday night at McCarthy Stadium.

Following the tie, King's sees its overall mark stand at 1-14-1, 0-4-1 in Freedom matches. Wilkes goes to 6-8-2 overall, 2-1-2 in league play.

The match was tight throughout as each team had ample scoring opportunities in the first half of play. Mangan made four of her 10 stops in the second frame to keep the Colonels at bay. King's best scoring chance came late in the first overtime as a Jade Zuniga shot from top of the box just sailed wide of the Wilkes goal.
