KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNED BY SECOND PLACE FDU, 3-0
WILKES-BARRE – Visiting FDU-Florham moved a step closer to locking up the second seed in the Freedom Conference playoffs as the Devils posted a 3-0 victory over King's College in women's volleyball action Tuesday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win, FDU improved to 24-6 overall and 4-2 in Freedom Conference play. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 5-12 and 1-5 in league games.
Heather Bowman led King's with five kills and six digs while Lauren Rockhold also tallied five kills. Kelly Greenway distributed 12 assists with three dogs while Emily Kline added three kills and two digs. Jillian Foster totaled nine digs while Amanda Horton registered two service aces and two digs.
King's will travel to Wilkes on Saturday for a tri-meet with the Lady Colonels and Penn State Berks beginning at 10:00 a.m.
