Volleyball Drops a Pair of Matches at MAC Crossover Quad-Match

VOLLEYBALL DROPS A PAIR OF MATCHES AT MAC CROSSOVER QUAD-MATCH

WILLIAMSPORT – The King's College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the MAC Crossover quad-match held on the campus of Lycoming College Saturday afternoon. The Lady Monarchs first fell to host Lycoming College 3-0, before suffering a 3-0 defeat against Albright College in their final match of the day.

 

King's fell in straight sets against Lycoming by scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-17.  Emily Kline led the King's attack with five kills, while Heather Bowman followed with four kills and six digs. Colleen Grosenick added four kills. Setter Kelly Greenway led the passing game with 12 assists. Jillian Foster finished with a  team-best 14 digs in the match.

 

In their second contest of the afternoon, King's fell to Albright in straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-16. Kline and Bowman led the way with six kills each, while Bowman added a team-high 10 digs. Greenway finished with 17 assists and three service aces. Foster contributed nine digs.

 

King's will return to the court Tuesday when they welcome Misericordia University to Scandlon Gymnasium for a Freedom Conference match scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
