KING'S FIELD HOCKEY TRAVELS TO MANHATTANVILLE FOR FREEDOM MATCH, VIEW LIVESTATS
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College field hockey team takes to the road Saturday to face Manhattanville College in an important Freedom matchup scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in Purchase, N.Y.

King's enters the match with a 11-3 overall record, 4-1 in Freedom play following a 6-1 win at cross-town rival Wilkes University on Wednesday. The Lady Monarchs currently sit in second place in the conference standings, trailing first-place Eastern University by one game. King's has been led by the scoring duo of Calli Berryman and Jenera Quinones, standing first and second in points in the conference. Berryman posts 33 points on 12 goals and nine assists, while Quinones adds 31 points on 12 goals and seven helpers. Danielle Terracciano contributes 22 points on 10 goals and two assists, including two tallies in the victory against the Colonels. Shawna Walp has been solid on the wing for the Lady Monarchs posting six goals and six assists. Goalie Erin McGinley boasts a 1.26 goals against average (2nd in conference) with 56 saves and three shutouts.
Manhattanville stands 8-8 on the year, 2-3 in league play after a 4-3 double overtime win at DeSales University on Wednesday. The Valiants are led by Kayla Meenan with 27 points on nine goals and nine assists. Megan Greene follows with 19 points on eight goals and three helpers, while Alyssa Coughlan adds 14 points on six goals and two assists. Keeper Melissa Grant has a 2.38 goals against average with 130 saves and one shutout in 15 matches in net.
Following the match, King's will conclude its conference slate Tuesday when the Lady Monarchs host DeSales University at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
