KING'S FIELD HOCKEY HOSTS ALBRIGHT IN NON-LEAGUE ACTION THURSDAY

 

WILKES-BARRE – With the second seed in next week's Freedom Conference Tournament secured, the King's College field hockey team finishes their regular season slate with two non-conference contests in the next three days. The Lady Monarchs welcome Commonwealth Conference foe Albright College to McCarthy Stadium Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

King's enters the non-conference match with a 13-3 overall record after a 4-0 shutout victory over DeSales University in their Freedom Conference finale on Tuesday. The Lady Monarchs are led by the scoring duo of Calli Berryman and Jenera Quinones who rank first and second respectively in the conference in points and goals. Berryman tops the squad with 40 points on 16 goals and eight assists, while Quinones follows with 36 points on 14 goals and eight assists. Danielle Terracciano chips in with 22 points on 10 goals and two helpers. Goalie Erin McGinley has a 1.17 goals against average with 65 saves and four shutouts in 16 matches.

 

Albright stands 9-9 overall entering their regular season finale. The Lions are led by the play of Gia Boscola with 29 points on 12 goals and five assists. Caitlin Feldman adds 10 goals and eight helpers. Keeper Marguerite DeLucas has a 2.73 goals against average with 155 saves and six shutouts in 18 matches in net.

 

Following the contest, King's will wrap-up their regular season slate at Montclair State University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. before entering the Freedom Conference Tournament Wednesday, November 3rd against FDU-Florham at 4:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
