Misericordia Volleyball Rallies Past King's, 3-1

MISERICORDIA VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS KING'S, 3-1

 

WILKES-BARRE --  King's College won the first game, but Misericordia University rallied to capture the next three  as the visiting Cougars posted a 3-1 victory in a MAC Freedom Conference matchup Tuesday in Scandlon Gymnasium. The Cougars won by 20-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-16.

 

With the win, Misericordia improved to 8-5 and 3-1 in conference play while King's slipped to 4-10 and 0-3.

Caitlin McCullion led Misericordia with 19 kills and 27 digs while Kristin Hoffman added 12 kills, 26 assists, and 14 digs. Alexandra Goble added 11 kills while Meghan Hotaling contributed with 23 assists and 11 digs. Shannon Kane chipped in with 25 digs.

King's was paced by Emily Kline with 13 kills and 12 digs while Heather Bowman followed with 11 kills and 24 digs. Kelly Greenway dished out 29 assists with 12 digs while Colleen Grosenick tallied seven kills and six digs. Jillian Foster chipped in with 24 digs while Amanda Horton registered 14 digs.

 

King's will next play at William Paterson University Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Wayne, NJ.
