Monarch Grapplers Fall in Ohio, Reilly Finishes 4-0

KING'S WRESTLERS GO 0-4 AT MT UNION DUALS
 
ALLIANCE, OH -- King's College wrestling standout Mike Reilly of Crestwood won all four matches but, as a team, the Monarchs were not as fortunate, dropping all four matches against quality opposition at the Mount Union Duals Saturday in Alliance, OH.

King's fell 39-6 to Mt. Union, ranked 29th nationally in Division III. The Monarchs then lost a 26-19 decision to Baldwin Wallace and a 30-12 verdict to Theil in the third round. In its final dual meet, King's lost to 19th ranked Ohio Northern 35-13.

Reilly, ranked third nationally at 184-pounds, won all four of his matches, including a pin, decision, and two forfeits to improve to 12-0 on the year. Gordon Custer was 2-0 on the day with a pair of decisions at 149. Tommy Desir was 2-2 at 157, posting a pair of victories by major decision.

Mike Laporta (133), Chris Puorro (149), Matt Steltzer (197), and Kevin Trant (285) all registered one win apiece. Rich Biesadeski of Hazleton Area lost both his matches.

King's will be idle until December 1 when the Monarchs take to the road to face The College of New Jersey at 7:00 p.m. in Ewing, NJ.
