KING'S GRAPPLERS EDGE E-TOWN 22-21 IN BATTLE OF NATIONALLY-RANKED SQUADS
 
ELIZABETHTOWN - Chris Rash picked up a game-winning 5-2 decision in the final bout of the evening as the King's College wrestling team rallied over the final three bouts to pull out a 22-21 victory over host Elizabethtown College Wednesday in a matchup of nationally-ranked squads.

With the win, the 19th ranked Monarchs improved to 13-9 on the year while the Blue Jays slipped to 8-4.

With King's trailing 21-12 after the 174-pound bout and three matches remaining, freshman Fran Marinucci earned a 7-5 decision over Paul Connor at 184 to secure a 7-5 decision while cutting the Blue Jay lead to 21-15. At 197, freshman Peter Dwyer continued his hot streak by registering a big 9-0 major decision to earn the Monarchs four teams points while cutting the Elizabethtown advantage to 21-19.
 
IN the final bout at 285, King's senior Chris Rash opened up a close match with two clutch takedowns in the final period to tally a 5-2 decision while securing the 22-21 win for the Monarchs.

King's also received points from senior Tony Miele who picked up a pin in 5:41 over Colin Sheridan at 133. Fellow senior Frankie Davis garnered a 9-3 decision over Jarrod Cawley at 141 while senior Taylor Green upped his season mark to 19-4 with an 11-8 decision over Jarred Kane at 157.
