KING'S BASBALL HOST BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE ON TUESDAY, VIEW LIVESTATS

 

WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College baseball team will return to the diamond Tuesday when the Monarchs host Baptist Bible College in a 4:00 p.m. non-conference matchup at Lipo Field in the Robert L. Betzler Athletic Complex.

King's enters with a 7-2 overall record after picking up a dramatic 3-2 victory over Marywood University on Sunday.

 

Senior Matt Unger contributes with a  .484 (15-31) average with a double, a triple, a HR and 11 RBI. Freshman Mike Kusters enters with a .467 (7-15) average with one double and seven RBI, including the game-winning run in the top of the ninth inning in the victory over Marywood University. Senior Jeremy Bonser has a .429 (6-14) average with two doubles and one RBI. Freshman Brian Mikus hits .409 (9-22) with three RBI. Freshman Chris Sweeney has a .405 (15-37) average with five doubles, one triple, one HR and nine RBI. Leading the way on the mound so far is Junior Tommy Rozelle who is 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 14.1 innings. Freshman Pat Matthews follows with a 1-0 record with a 3.24 ERA recording seven strikeouts in 8.1 innings.

 

The Baptist Bible baseball team has a 2-3 overall record after dropping a doubleheader loss to Geneva College on Saturday.

 

Eric Teysen owns a .556 (5-9) batting average with a HR and five RBI, while also leading the way on the mound with a 1-0 record, holding a 2.57 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 7.0 innings. Dan Zatkiewicz follows at .375 (3-8). Chris Landry stands at .333 (4-12) with a double and a RBI. Joe Canazon has a .250 (3-12) average with one double, one triple and a RBI. Timothy Radcliff stands at .250 (3-12) with a double and four RBI, while also recording four strikeouts in 5.0 innings on the mound. Adam Mellor adds a .200 (2-10) average with one double and two RBI.
