KING'S BASEBALL EDGED BY SUSQUEHANNA, 5-3
 
SELINSGOVE – The King's College baseball team saw its five-game win streak come to an end as the Monarchs dropped a 5-3 decision to Landmark Conference opponent Susquehanna University Wednesday in Selinsgrove.
 
The loss dropped King's to 8-3 while Susquehanna improved to 7-7.
 
Neither team mustered much offensively as the Crusaders had seven hits in the game compared to six for the Monarchs. King's freshman Joey Troxell led the attack with a 3-for-4 showing that included one run scored. Chris Sweeney, Rob Fravel, and Brian Mikus added the other hits for the Monarchs.

Monarch starting pitcher Jim Baczkowski took the loss for, allowing four runs, three earned, in two innings of work.
 
The Monarchs will resume Freedom Conference play this weekend with a three-game slate against Eastern University. The Monarchs travel to St. David's for a single game on Friday before returning home for a 1:00 p.m. Saturday doubleheader.
