KING'S BASBALL HOST DESALES UNIVERSITY ON TUESDAY, VIEW LIVESTATS
WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College baseball team will return to the diamond Thursday when the Monarchs host DeSales University in a 3:00 p.m. conference matchup at Lipo Field in the Robert L. Betzler Athletic Complex.

King's enters with a 10-4 overall record and a 5-1 Freedom Conference mark after a 8-6 loss to conference foe Eastern University on Sunday.
Senior Jeremy Bonser leads the team with a .462 (12-26) average with four doubles, one triple and two RBI. Senior Matt Unger has a .435 (20-46) average with one double, two triples, one HR and 13 RBI. Freshman Brian Mikus has a .387 (12-31) average with one double and 12 RBI. Freshman Chris Sweeney hits .375 (21-56) with eight doubles, one triple, one HR and 16 RBI. Junior Mike Fignar enters with a .375 (6-16) average with one double and six RBI. Freshman Joey Troxell hits .364 (16-44) with three doubles and 11 RBI. Freshman Mike Kusters is also hitting .364 (8-22) with one double and seven RBI. Leading the way on the mound so far is junior Tommy Rozelle who is 3-0 with a 1.27 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 21.1 innings. Senior Eric Matula is 2-0 with a 3.79 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 19 innings. Freshman Pat Matthews is 1-0 with a 3.24 ERA and seven strikeouts in 8.1 innings. Freshman Bobby Peron is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA and five strikeouts in six innings.
The DeSales University baseball team stands at 10-5 overall record and a 6-0 conference mark after picking up a doubleheader victory over Delaware Valley College on Tuesday.
Derek Moyer is batting .453 (24-53) with 18 runs, four doubles, three HR and 16 RBI. Kenny Ridge follows at .421 (16-38) with one double, one triple and eight RBI. Jason Hadinger stands at .410 (16-39) with two doubles, one HR and eight RBI. Nick Chiovitti hits .394 (13-33) with two doubles, one triple and six RBI. For the pitchers, David Drinks is 3-0 with a 1.38 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 26.0 innings. Travis Hughes is also 3-0 with a 4.00 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 18.0 innings. Dan Gayeski is 4-1 with 16 K's in 20.0 innings.
