KING'S MEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS DESALES, 6-3

CENTER VALLEY- The King's College men's tennis team picked up its first conference win by defeating DeSales University by the score of 6-3 Thursday in Center Valley.

With the win, the Monarchs improved to 2-5 on the year. DeSales meanwhile fell to 0-4.

King's won its first doubles match to start off the contest, then captured five of the six singles flights to clinch the victory.

Jon Hand was the only Monarch victorious in both singles and doubles. He teamed up with Pasquale Romano to defeat the team of Dan Bullen and Colin Pomer by the score of 8-2 in the number one doubles match. Hand later defeated Dan Bullen by the score of 6-0, 6-1 in the number one singles match.

Tim Carroll, Michael Steinberger, Nick Conte and Marco Stallone all picked up singles victories for the Monarchs.

King's will host Misericordia University on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
