KING'S MEN'S TENNIS DOWNS KEYSTONE COLLEGE, 7-2
WILES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over Keystone College Mondayin at Kirby Park.
With the win, King's improved to 5-6 on the year while Keystone fell to 1-7.
King's won its first doubles match to start off the contest, then captured all six of the singles flights to secure the victory.
Jon Hand and Tim Caroll were both victorious in singles and doubles as they teamed up to get the number one doubles victory by the score of 8-5. Hand went on to defeat Samual Dahmer by the score of 7-6, 6-3 in the number one singles match. Carroll earned a victory in the number two singles flight by defeating Chris Conte by scores of 6-2, 6-0.
Michael Steinberger registered a 6-1, 6-2 number three singles flight victory, while Nick Conte went to three sets to get his number four singles win over Keith Garubba 6-1, 6-7, 6-2. Marco Stallone and David Chen each garnered identical 6-0, 6-o victories in the fifth and six positions respectively.
King's returns to conference action on Wednesday with a 3:00 p.m. against in-town rival Wilkes University at Kirby Park.
