KING'S-WILKES BASEBALL RAINED OUT FRIDAY, WEEKEND SERIES RESTRUCTURED
WILKES-BARRE -- With roughly two weeks left in the regular-season the King's College baseball team is looking to position itself for a Freedom Conference tournament berth. The Monarchs will continue their quest this weekend with a difficult task as King's faces cross-town rival Wilkes University in a three-game series.
Due to rain on Friday in the bottom of the first inning, the opening game of the series was rained out. The game has been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Wilkes and Saturday's doubleheader at King's will remain as scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in the Betzler Athletic Complex.
King's enters the weekend with a 14-9 overall record while standing 8-4 in Freedom Conference play. Wilkes, meanwhile, is 9-13 and 2-10 in league games.
