MEN'S TENNIS DROPS 8-1 DECISION TO LYCOMING
KINGSTON -- The King's College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting Lycoming College Thursday at the Kingston Indoor Tennis Center. The match was originally slated for Kirby Park but was moved indoors after a series of rain showers in the area.
King's fell behind 3-0 as Lycoming swept all three doubles contests to start the match. In singles, play, Jon Hand was the lone winner for the Monarchs, posting a 7-6, 6-2 triumph in the number-one flight.
With the win, Lycoming improved to 7-1 on the year while the Monarchs slipped to 8-9.
King's returns to action Saturday when the Monarchs travel to Purchase, NY to meet Manhattanville College at 1:00 p.m.
