KING'S MEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS MISERICORDIA, 5-4
WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College men's tennis team picked up its second conference victory by defeating Misericordia University 6-4 Tuesday at Kirby Park.
King's took a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition as the teams of Jon Hand and Tim Carroll, along with Nick Conte and Michael Steinberger, were winners in the first and third flights respectively.
The Monarchs would get the victory by winning three of the six singles matches, with Marco Stallone clinching his number five singles flight with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-0 victory. Carroll and Steinberger were also singles victors for the Monarchs.
King's is slated to travel to take on Susquehanna University on Thursday for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference matchup.
