KING'S BASBALL HOSTING DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE ON FRIDAY, VIEW LIVESTATS

 

WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College baseball team will return to the diamond Friday when the Monarchs host Delaware Valley College in a 3:30 p.m. conference matchup at Lipo Field in the Robert L. Betzler Athletic Complex.

King's enters with a 11-7 overall record and a 6-3 conference mark after dropping a 14-4 decision to SUNY New Paltz on Tuesday.

 

Junior Mike Fignar leads the team with a .478 (11-23) average with one double and seven RBI. Senior Jeremy Bonser follows with a .412 (14-34) average with five doubles, one triple and three RBI. Freshman Chris Sweeney has a .394 (26-66) average with nine doubles, one triple, two home runs and 17 RBI. Senior Matt Unger hits .383 (23-60) with two doubles, two triples, one home run and 15 RBI. Freshman Joey Troxell enters with a .350 (21-60) average with three doubles, one triple and 13 RBI. Freshman Brian Mikus is hitting .341 (14-41) with two doubles and eight RBI. Freshman Mike Kusters hits .313 (10-31) with one double and eight RBI ...Leading the way on the mound so far is junior Tommy Rozelle who is 4-0 with a 1.32 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 27.1 innings. Senior Eric Matula is 2-1 with a 5.25 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 24 innings. Senior Dan Jenkins is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and five strikeouts in 3.0 innings.

 

The Delaware Valley College baseball team stands at 8-11-1 overall record and a 1-8 conference mark after recording a 8-8 tie with Ursinus College on Wednesday.

Mike Isgro is batting .542 (39-72) with six doubles, three triples, five home runs and 34 RBI.  Jake Barben follows at .397 (27-68) with four doubles, one home run and 16 RBI.  Dylan Saldutti stands at .333 (24-72) with two doubles, one triple, one home run and 12 RBI ... Zach Chodur hits .282 (22-78) with one double, one triple, one home run and nine RBI.  For the pitchers, Mike Cavallaro is 1-0 with a 3.97 ERA and eight strikeouts in 11.1 innings. Jeff Sennett is also 1-0 with and 11 strikeouts in 11.0 innings.
