The Devils took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning when Seminario singled and Joey Santillio reached base on a two-out walk. Geran then delivered a three-run home run to right centerfield to put FDU on top for good.
King's threatened in the eighth after Mikus doubled and Unger drew a walk, but the Monarchs stranded both runners. In the ninth, Mike Kusters drew a two-out walk for King's, but the Devils retired the final batter to walk away with the victory.
Unger led King's by going 3-for-3 on the day while Sweeney, Mikus, Matt Pritchard and Rob Lemoncelli also added hits for the Monarchs. Tommy Rozelle pitched well for the Monarchs in defeat, allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out seven batters.
