KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS FIRST TWO MATCHES AT SCRANTON INVITATIONAL
SCRANTON -- The King's College volleyball team fnished 0-2 after the first day of compeition at the University of Scranton Invitational Tournament.
In their opening match the Lady Monarchs fell to Marywood 3-0, by scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-11. In their second match, King's then fell to Scranton 3-1 by scores of 18-25, 25-19, 20-25, 14-25.
Heather Bowman haad a combined 11 kills and 24 digs while Emily Kline added nine kills. Kell Greenwa distributed 26 assists with seven kills while Jillian Foster tallied 22 digs. Colleen Grosenick had five kills while Amanda Horton chipped in with 17 digs.
King's will resume play Saturday with a 10:00 a.m. matchup with Centenary. The Lady Monarchs will face one more opponent, yet to be determined, at a time to be announced.
