ST. DAVIDS, PA -- Host Eastern University swept three straight sets on way to a 3-0 win over King's College in Freedom volleyball action Tuesday night. The Eagles took the match by scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-11.
With the loss King's falls to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in conference matches, while Eastern remains undefeated at 15-0, 2-0 in Freedom play.
Senior Emily Kline led the King's attack with four kills, four digs, and two block assists. Senior setter Kelly Greenway added five assists and two digs, while junior Jillian Foster contributed a team-high six digs and two service aces.
Courtney Reinhold led the pre-season favorite Eagles with a match-best 13 kills including a .722 hitting percentage. Kearby Benak followed with 12 kills and four digs. Setter Maria Horning led the passing game with 35 assists.
King's will return to action Thursday when the Lady Monarchs travel to Keystone College for a non-conference tilt scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
