Field Hockey Hosts Elizabethtown Tuesday Looking for Seventh Straight Victory, View LiveStats

WILKES-BARRE – The King's College field hockey team looks for their seventh straight win Tuesday afternoon when the Lady Monarchs welcome Elizabethtown College to McCarthy Stadium for a non-conference tilt scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

King's enters the contest winners of six straight (7-1) following a 5-1 victory against FDU-Florham in their Freedom Conference opener on Saturday. Calli Berryman leads the Lady Monarchs attack with a team-high 20 points on seven goals and six assists, including a six point effort against the Devils. Jenera Quinones continues her fine play posting 16 points on six goals and four assists. Shawna Walp contributes 12 points on four goals and four assists. In net, Erin McGinley has been solid boasting a 0.88 goals against average with 30 saves and three shutouts.

 

Elizabethtown comes into the game with a 4-3 overall mark after suffering a 5-0 loss at #1 Messiah College on Saturday. Liz DeMatteis leads the Blue Jays attack with 14 points on six goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Lindy Hamp has a 2.60 goals against average with 25 saves in seven games played in net.

 

Following the game, King's will continue their home stretch Thursday as they welcome Albright College to McCarthy Stadium for a non-conference contest scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
