KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO SUSQUEHANNA
WILKES-BARRE – Visiting Susquehanna University broke up a scoreless game at the half with two second half goals as the Crusaders posted a 2-1 victory over King's College in a non-conference men's lacrosse matchup Tuesday at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win Susquehanna improved to 6-3 while King's fell to 6-4.
The game remained scoreless until the second half when Brian Nobbs scored following a through pass by Andrew Brill at the 56:50 mark. The Crusaders scored again at 75:24
When Andrew Murphy found Adam Matteo in stride with a pass up the middle to give Susquehanna a 2-0 lead.
King's got on the board with 0:30 left when Alex Martino made good on a penalty kick
Susquehanna held a 12-9 advantage in shots while King's led 4-2 in corner kicks.
King's goalie Andrew O'Shura made four saves while Crusader keeper B.J. Merriman posted two three stops.
King's returns to action Saturday with a 7:00 p.m. home contest against FDU-Florham
