KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO LYCOMING

WILKES-BARRE – The visiting Lycoming College women's soccer team broke open a 1-1 game at the half with four goals over the final 45 minutes of play as the Warriors defeated host King's College 5-1 in non-conference action Wednesday night in McCarthy Stadium.

With the victory, Lycoming improved to 6-2 while King's fell to 1-9.

Lycoming score fisat on an own goal from King's, then used goals by Jussae Hanford, Kaitlin Horn, Kati Shaner, and Spencer Larson to secure the victory.  Becky Chateauneuh scored King's lone goal.

King's goalie Melissa D'Aniello made five saves while Warrior keeper Caitlin Dougherty posted one stop.

Lycoming outshot King's 16-4 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

King's returns to action Saturday with a 5:00 p.m. home contest against FDU-Florham at McCarthy Stadium.
