KING'S WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS 3-0 DECISION TO WILKES
WILKES-BARRE – The King's women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to cross-town rival Wilkes University. The Lady Colonels won by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-12.
With the win Wilkes improved to 7-8 overall and 3-0 in the Freedom Conference while King's slipped to 4-7 and 0-3 in league games.
Emily Kline had six kills and two solo blocks while Lauren Rockhold had four kills and three blocks in her season debut following a pre-season injury. Heather Bowman had two kills and 14 digs while Kelly Greenway dished out 13 assists. Jillian Foster contributed with 17 digs while Amanda Horton chipped in with 11 digs.
The lady Monarchs will next compete in a tri-meet Saturday at Lycoming College. King's plays Lycoming at 10:30 a.m. before facing Albright at 1:00 p.m.
