KING'S CAGERS HOST PENN COLLEGE WEDNESDAY TO CONCLUDE NON-CONFERENCE PLAY, VIEW LIVESTATS - GAME TIME NOW 7:15 PM
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College men's basketball team will finish the non-conference portion of their schedule Wednesday when the Monarchs welcome Penn College of Technology to Scandlon Gymnasium. Game time has been moved to 7:15 as the Penn College team bus arrived late due to the weather.

King's (10-7) has won eight of their last 11 games including a 78-66 win over Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Monday. Senior forward Kevin Conroy leads the team averaging 16.6 points and 5.8 rebounds, shooting 49.2 percent (94-191) from the field. Freshman guard Kyle Hammonds continues to enjoy a banner rookie campaign posting 13.2 points and 4.6 rebounds, canning a team-high 35 three-pointers. Hammonds poured in a game-high in the win against the Mountain Lions on Monday. Sophomore guard Matt Fiorino adds 8.5 points, hitting 42.9 percent (33-77) from behind the arc, while junior forward Nick Reisig contributes 8.0 points and 4.6 rebounds. Junior points guard Kyle Stackhouse runs the offense averaging 7.9 points, a team-best 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. The Monarchs average 72.1 points per-game, while yielding 65.8 points each contest.
King's owns a 2-1 record over Penn College in the past four seasons, with the Wildcats collecting their lone win, 74-70, over the Monarchs in 2009.
Penn College stands 6-8 overall following a 99-63 loss at Wilkes University on Monday. Junior guard Leroy Joiner, the sixth leading scorer in the USCAA, averages 21.4 points and 12.1 rebounds to lead the Wildcat attack. Senior center Greg Solyak follows with 17.8 points and 5.8 rebounds. Senior guard Phillip Kaylor adds 8.6 points and 3.1 rebounds, while fellow senior backcourt mate Nico Italiani contributes 7.8 points and a team-high 17 three-pointers. Penn College averages 71.7 points per-game, while allowing 78.3 points each contest. The Wildcats have faced Arcadia, Susquehanna, and Misericordia falling to each squad earlier this year.
Following the game, King's will return to Freedom play Saturday as they travel to Purchase, N.Y. to face Manhattanville College at 3:00 p.m. It marks the second meeting between the teams this year, as the Valiants took a 76-75 overtime win in Wilkes-Barre in December.
