KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS BOTH CONTESTS AT MAC CROSSOVER MATCHES
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's volleyball team dropped both contests at the MAC Crossover Matches Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the losses, the Lady Monarchs fell to 2-13 on the year. The MAC Crossover event pits two MAC Freedom Conference squads meeting two MAC Commonwealth Conference teams.
King's lost its first match to Arcadia University 3-2 by scores of 20-25, 26-24, 22-25, 27-25, 15-12. The Lady Monarchs led 2-1 before the Knights rallied. In its second match, King's dropped a 3-1 verdict to Lycoming, falling by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 20-25, 25-16.
Against Arcadia, Heather Bowman had 15 kills and eight digs while Emily Heombecker tallied 16 kills with eight digs. Lauren Rockhold contributed eight kills and four aces while Amanda Horton and Kaleigh Brady dished out 21 and 17 assists each. Jillian Foster chipped in with 13 digs.
Against Lycoming, Bowman posted a team-high 13 kills with six digs. Rockhold tallied four kills with three solo blocks. Brady distributed 14 assists while Foster posted six digs.
King's will next travel to face Misericordia University Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Dallas.
