KING'S VOLLEYBALL HOSTING MANHATTANVILLE IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE PAIRING
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's volleyball team will return home Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs host Manhattanville College in a 7:00 p.m. Freedom Conference matchup in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's enters the matchup with a 3-17 record and a 1-3 Freedom Conference mark. Manhattanville, meanwhile, is 11-9 and 0-4 in league competition.
King's has been paced by junior
Heather Bowman with 123 kills and 152 digs. Sophomore
Lauren Rockhold follows with 114 kills, 57 digs, 18 total blocks, and 17 service aces. Freshman
Emily Heimbecker adds 82 kills, 74 digs, and 14 total blocks. Sophomore setter
Amanda Horton has distributed 199 assists with 76 digs while freshman setter
Kaleigh Brady has posted 150 assists.
The Valiants are led by senior Makana Gomes with 118 kills, 240 assists, and 192 digs. Senior Ally Johnson follows with 116 kills and 204 digs. Freshman Sam Delmar has tallied 107 kills and 308 digs while sophomore Susy Camaj contributes 66 kills, 33 service aces, 56 digs, and 39 total blocks. Freshman Vernonica Ferreiras chips in with 225 assists and 73 digs.
The Lady Monarchs will then be idle until Tuesday when King's faces its biggest test of the year when defending Freedom Conference champion Eastern University, ranked fifth in NCAA Division III, invades Scandlon Gym for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
