McLIN SETS TWO SCHOOL RECORDS BUT LADY MONARCH SWIMMERS FALL TO MARYWOOD

SCRANTON -- Erin McLin set a pair of school records but it wasn't enough as the King's College women's swim team dropped a 119-82 decision to host Marywood University Saturday in Scranton. With the loss, the Lady Monarchs slipped to 1-1 on the year.

McLin won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:21.99, breaking the previous mark of 2:22.36 by Sarah Hilbert in 2001. She was also second in the 50 freestyle at 27.23. McLin also set a another school record in the 100 backstroke as part of King's winning 400 medley relay team, teaming with Patricia Manning, Kim Brino, and Caroline Fitch to post a time of 4:25.43.

Manning also had a big day, capturing the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:26.88 and the 200 breaststroke at 2:41.55. Amanda Casey was second in the 200 individual medley at 2:37.07 and was also second in the 200 backstroke with a 2:33.48. Shannon Johnson was second in the 1,000 freestyle at 12:21.54 and was also second in the 100 freestyle with a 1:02.06.
Brino was second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 33.47 and was also second in the 200 butterfly at 2:23.40. Kathleen Kerr was third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 28.55, while Caroline Fitch was third in the 500 freestyle at 6:00.60.

King's will host Cabrini College Friday night at 6:00 p.m.
