St. David's, PA-- The King's College field hockey team fell 2-1 in a rematch of last season's Freedom Conference championship game Saturday afternoon at Olsen Field.
After a scoreless first half,
Jenera Quinones put the Lady Monarchs ahead at 51:09 when she found the back of the net off a
Lindsay Mercer pass.
The Eagles answered with a pair of unassisted goals from Jess Jaindl at 54:38 and 57:45 to set the final.
Eastern outshot the Lady Monarchs 24-10 and held a slight 10-7 edge in penalty corners.
Megan Withrow kept the game close making 18 saves and allowing the pair of goals. Withrow falls to 6-5 on the season.
The Lady Monarchs step out of Freedom Conference play to travel to Muhlenberg College Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
