Doylestown, PA—The King's College men's soccer team picked up their eighth shutout of the year with a 3-0 win over Delaware Valley in a Freedom Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
The Monarchs jumped out early when
Kevin Buchanan deposited a
Tim Meyer pass into the back of the net just 8:30 into the contest.
King's opened up the lead right out of the halftime break with an unassisted tally by
Joey Bender at the 48 minute mark. Bender added an insurance tally on a penalty kick at 71:13.
The Monarchs held a 13-3 advantage in shots and an 8-0 edge in cornerkicks.
Mark Labbadia improved to 6-2-1 making one save for his sixth shutout this season.
The Monarchs will host Misericordia on Tuesday at 4:00 pm at McCarthy Stadium in a Freedom Conference tilt.
