Wilkes-Barre, PA- The King's College wrestling team starts their dual meet season with a trio of matches at the John Reese Duals at Wilkes University on Saturday.
King's opens its day with Plymouth State at 1:00 p.m. and then wrestles SUNY Cortland at 3:00 p.m. The Monarchs then finish their day with New York University at 5:00 p.m.
The Monarchs finished seventh in a field of 13 teams at the Monarch Invitational last Saturday crowning two champions in
Tommy Desir at 157 and
Shane Stark at 174, while All-American
Mike Reilly finished second at 184. In addition,
Peter Dwyer was sixth at 285.
Reilly has picked up 99 wins in his career and looks to become just the eighth wrestler in King's College history to reach the 100-win club, which includes his brother Jason Reilly, who won 109 matches at King's from 2004-07.
