King's Women's Basketball Hosts FDU-Florham on Saturday

Wilkes-Barre, PA-- The King's College women's basketball will play host to FDU-Florham Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Scandlon Gymnasium in Freedom Conference action.

The Lady Monarchs stand are currently 5-1 overall with a 1-0 mark in the Freedom Conference after a nail-biting 59-56 victory over Delaware Valley. The Devils are 3-4 on the season and are 0-1 in the conference losing to defending conference champ DeSales 60-46.

King's is holding their opponents to 60.7 points per game while putting up 67.3 per contest. While the Devils are scoring 65 points and allowing 65.7 points per game.

Samantha Simcox has led the Lady Monarch's attack averaging a double double with 12.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Paige Carlin has been a spark off the bench for King's scoring 11.8 points per game. Katlin Michaels has chipped in 11.7 points, 5.8 helpers and 5.2 boards per game.

FDU's offense has been led by freshman guard Kyra Dayon with 15.1 points and has added 7.0 boards per contest. Junior Tasza Carter averages 12.6 points per gamewhle connecting on 14-of-45 from 3-point range.
